Our History
In 2011, James McIntosh started his own company in Falkirk specialising in electrical repair and maintenance, electronics, manufacture, design and distribution. He slowly built up his team and quickly attracted a number of loyal clients, including multinational companies. They quickly realised that MCI offered cost effective and commercially aware services.
Where other electrical engineers fell short with a lack of specialism or customer service, MCI’s engineers have become known as ‘machine whisperers’ by their customers. Our customers keep coming back again and again because we have a reputation for offering a service second to none. A reputation that we are extremely proud of.
James and his team have always believed in a friendly, high quality, personal service that puts the customer at the centre of everything that we do.
Over the years, our client base has grown to include national and international companies covering almost every conceivable industry and product. We have helped hospitals, universities, the armed forces, the food and drink industry, pharmaceutical manufacturers, quarries and artisans to name but a few.
MCI has always moved with the times, no matter how difficult they have been. We worked hard over the pandemic to keep essential services going. Now that Brexit has happened, MCI is working with its customers to provide repair and support services without delay or additional expense.
In response to the rising cost of energy, we are now offering an electrical optimisation service to help our customers cut their energy bills. No matter what twists and turns life throws at us, MCI stays ahead of the curve and helps our customers keep going strong.
