PCB Design
Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) are at the heart of MCI’s business. We can design everything from single and multi-layered boards, analogue and digital electronics to those with embedded control. For over a decade, our customers have trusted us with their projects and PCB design requirements. Our PCBs are made in our own workshops in Scotland and you can be assured of our attention to detail and build quality. If you just require a schematic drawing, we can deliver that too. Turning Concepts into reality
MCI’s teams will work with your existing team or advise you as to how your concepts can be achieved. First and foremost, we need to understand all your requirements. The questions that MCI will ask you will include:
- What is the PCB for?
- Is it a new design or a re-design?
- What other business requirements are there?
- What technical specifications are there?
- Is there a requirement for 3D modelling?
Once we have all relevant information, we’ll create a schematic drawing using our CAD system. Finally, when we’re confident that our design meets your requirements, we’ll deliver the Gerber file to you or we can manufacture the PCB for you. Find out more about our PCB manufacturing service.
As soon as the design has been made to the customer’s satisfaction, MCI are able to provide the necessary components from our distribution warehouse, manufacture and then fit the PCBs for you.
Even if your PCB design is for a machine that is deemed to be ‘obsolete’ by other electrical engineering companies, we can usually source the necessary components required. We can then design a new PCB that is suitable for your specific machine. We can then upgrade or refurbish your machine in accordance with your specifications.
