MCI is celebrating the marine environment this week, as it is currently National Marine Week. At this time, we are all encouraged to take a minute to think about the immense importance of the sea and all the diverse life that lives in it. It’s not only an essential part of the Earth, but also our very existence depends upon it.
National Marine Week was created in the 1970s by The Wildlife Trusts. The week was designed to promote awareness of the damage that overfishing, pollution and destruction of ocean reefs was doing to the environment. Events such as educational workshops and beach clean-ups are held to show how we can all help to stop the damage being caused to the sea and waterways.
MCI has always taken a proactive approach to being a environmentally conscious company. We give environmentally friendly and cost effective solutions to our customers. We always try to fix older equipment rather than purchase new. We offer a service to help customers to make their machinery more environmentally friendly as well as reduce energy costs.
