Today MCI is preparing for Christmas! What better way to send our festive wishes by showing our dogs decked our in their Christmas finery. As you can see, our furry friends are at the front of the queue for Christmas cuteness. Some of us may be putting the Christmas tree up this weekend, and some on the 12th December. There is little pleasure greater than admiring your work once the Christmas tree is ‘dressed’. Who hasn’t sat in the dark looking at the twinkling lights and glistening baubles after putting all the Christmas decorations up?
Keen cooks will have already been planning their Christmas table and getting their cakes and puddings ready. ‘Stir up Sunday’ may have already passed, but it’s always a good time for festive goodies! Whether you love your figgy pudding, a slice of panettone, a gingerbread man or stollen, the festive spice and fruit gives us warmth against the cold outside.
Christmas markets have been set up across the country and the smell of mulled wine, Lebkuchen (gingerbread) and sausage call to us across the city. Wherever you are in the UK, a Christmas market isn’t too far away. If you are reading this from outside Europe, you have to put a visit to a Christmas market on your bucket list. It is a truly magical event and brings out the inner child in us all.
As MCI’s engineers have been driving around Scotland, we have seen Christmas trees appearing at garden centres and farms – ready to be taken home and decorated. They look forward to seeing the twinkle of lights and decorations at the windows of houses. As the temperature drops, the lights go up.
Whether you are a minimalist or maximalist with your Christmas decorations, have a wonderful start to your festive season. Have a good weekend everyone and keep cosy!
