Today, MCI wants to celebrate the truly remarkable life of Richard Tolman. This man was a multidisciplinary scientist who excelled in theoretical cosmology and statistical mechanics. He was also a physical chemist and mathematical physicist. He was professor of physical chemistry and mathematical physics at Caltech.
The part of his life that MCI wants to look at is his work regarding the electrical conductivity of metals. He demonstrated that the electron is a charge carrying particle in the flow of electricity in metals.
Have a great weekend everyone!
