MCI recently had the opportunity to work with a manufacturer of mobility aids for vehicles. This company approached us to design and build an initial batch of 25 specialised control boxes. These control boxes serve a crucial role, allowing users to simply plug in handset to effortlessly operate the up and down movement of wheelchair or mobility scooter hoists installed in their vehicle’s boot area.
With the client’s specifications in hand, our team at MCI got to work engineering a custom printed circuit board solution. We carefully selected and populated the PCB with the electronic components required to enable the control box’s functionality of interfacing with the mobility hoist system. Through our design process and manufacturing expertise, MCI successfully delivered this initial production run to meet our client’s needs for bringing greater accessibility and independence to their end-users.
