MCI was asked by a new customer to service their long-serving weaving loom that had an issue with its bespoke sensors. The sensor is essential as it determined when the shuttle needs refilling before the material runs out.  Unfortunately, these sensors were unique to these machines are not made any more and the many companies that the client had contacted for a replacement could not help. They had used up all of their spares and now were in the unfortunate position of having to retire the machines.

Once we saw the application, MCI set to work designing a sensor from the ground up and made a prototype for testing. The sensor fits seamlessly into the existing footprint of the old one and works like a dream. We are now making these sensors for all their looms in the UK and for their sister company in Europe.

Whatever the loom’s make, Sulzer, Trinca, Jager or Eltex systems, MCI has worked with them all. We have numerous customers across the country who rely on us to help them keep their looms going.  Let us help you too. Give us a call on 01324 611371 to see how we can help you.
